Nancy Fong is a Registered Dietitian, Consulting Sport & Performance Dietitian, ISAK Level 2 Anthropometrist, and Clinical Director for Health Promotion at Special Olympics PEI. She is also the owner of Maximum Performance & Nutrition and Performance Nutrition Academy Ltd., both based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University. She further advanced her expertise by completing the renowned sport nutrition graduate program through the International Olympic Committee Medical Commission.
With a passion for optimizing athletic performance, Nancy has worked with a wide array of athletes at the provincial, national, and international levels. Her clients have included the Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL), UPEI Women’s Hockey, National Curling, Provincial and National Speed Skating, Baseball Canada, Canada Men’s Softball, UPEI Women’s Rugby, National Biathlon, the 2013 Canadian World Junior Men’s Hockey Team, Team QMJHL for the 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series, Hockey PEI, Sport PEI, and numerous NHL athletes.
Nancy is also dedicated to advancing the field of sport nutrition and is actively involved in various professional organizations. She is a member on various boards abd committees for Special Olympics PEI, the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise & Sport, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Through these roles, she advocates for healthy food environments and promotes wellness in both athletic and community settings.
Nancy's work is driven by a deep commitment to supporting athletes of all abilities, helping them achieve optimal performance while fostering health and well-being across diverse populations.
